Kingsmeade Artisan Cheese
Kingsmeade Cheese is a small family business specialises in artisan sheep and cows milk cheese based in the Wairarapa.
Our range of handcrafted products include such beautiful cheses as Ngawi Brie, Tinui Blue (seasonal) Sunset Blue, Mt Bruce Havarti, Wairarapa Jack, Opaki manchego (seasonal) Castlepoint Feta and Riversdale Pecorino.
Kingsmeade own 200 milking ewes for the range of sheep cheese and buy in local milk for the cow cheeses, thus taking the product from paddock to plate.
As well as awards for the cheese, we have also won Taste New Zealand Best Farmers Market Product from the Dairy, several Ballance environmental awards, the Mindfood Magazine and Visa Wellington on a Plate Sustainable business award (2 years in a row) and also their Supreme Award 2014.
